Lore24 Week 3
For week 3 of Lore24 I made the following entries:
- Started fleshing out the Dwarven cultures
- Rolled a 6 on my Lore24 table - New Historic Event. Created a page to setup the Human cultures of the settings, the First Landing, and the founding of the Divine Empire.
- Wrote up a Faction Template for use with Lore24
- Rolled a 5 on my Lore24 table - New Faction. Looks like I can use that Faction Template right off the bat! Started up Knights of the Gate... though mostly this was translating my template into more useful formatting for mediawiki pages. I will do another pass and then share both.
- Rolled a 9 on my table: find a random page, and add a linked article or populate an existing one. Using the random page feature on the wiki side ar, I got Elven Ancestor Worship. Looking at the page, I decided to flesh out Runestones. These are a... keystone feature of the settings and magic. While I thought I had an earlier Runestone write-up, it looks like I might not. Oh well! I'll at least start the page.
- Rolled a 1 on the table--reread an old entry and rework or Spruce up. Everything is still pretty fresh so I'm going to go with spruce up. I decided to improve the page on Humans. 1
- Rolled a 20 on the table: time to write up a table. I don't have much time today so I'm doing a random page and throwing a quick d6 table on it! Ended up adding two tables to Runestones, one for example runes abd one for example locations. Just a bit of flavor to the page.
That's the week! I'm glad that I'm finding this d20 table easy to use.
Oh yeah, I made a Places sub table based on Part 3 of Reinventing the Wilderness by Sachagoat. I'll post it this week!

Does anyone have a slicker name for "Humans"? I feel like "Man" is punchier, whereas "Human" feels kind of sci-fi, but of course Man, as a term used to describe all humans, is a bit... non-inclusive. I want something monosyllabic like "Dwarves" or "Elves".↩
